In Winter 2015, Zimra Beiner first showed work in The Sculpture Center’s Euclid Avenue Gallery in Fabricated Fictions, a two-person shown with Nathan Prouty. Beiner’s expressive, raw portrayal of domesticity through ceramic sculpture presented a contrast with Prouty’s whimsical, meticulously crafted creations in one of our most exciting ceramics shows to date. Since then, Beiner has shown work around the US, and as far as Jingdezhen, China. He recently received a Winnifred Shantz Award for his work in ceramics.
