At the Sculpture Center’s Main Gallery, Emily Duke presents Careless Water where her work takes the form of installations, discreet ceramic objects and performative video. Within Duke’s sculptures, assemblages of posed geometric forms, draped curtains and steel armatures build physical and metaphorical spaces that reference surreal, domestic landscapes.
In the Euclid Gallery of The Sculpture Center, Kylie Ford presents Passing Through. Ford synthesizes her experience of living in a region seeping with contradiction utilizing uncanny materials to construct composite spaces that negotiate the essence of living in Appalachia.
