JP Peralta, The Sculpture Center’s Curatorial Assistant to the Director, has been selected as one of eight educators who will be working with Studio Institute at the American Pavilion of the 2019 Venice Biennale. Studio Institute’s Arts Intern program offers opportunities for students to gain paid experience in the art world. Their summer program with The Sculpture Center is what brought JP to the institution in the first place. Now, 2 years later, JP is working with the Arts Intern program again, but this time in Venice, under Martin Puryear, who was selected to represent the United States. The trip will consist of educational and interpretive work at the Pavilion, along with charity work with the underserved communities of Venice and the region of Veneto.
