Ron Lambert’s sculpture is the physical manifestation of his attempt to create an environment of beauty and perfection with the preexisting realization that reaching total perfection is futile. He makes carefully hand constructed objects that appear unfinished or deconstructed. These are to bring attention to the impermanence and fleeting nature of many of the experiences and realities of contemporary life.
Ron Lambert is an assistant professor at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. He received his BFA at the University of Connecticut (1997) and his MFA from the School of Art and Design at Alfred University (2004). He has shown work nationally in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, and Washington. His video pieces have screened in festivals and shows around the world, including projects and festivals in Canada, Ireland, Brazil, and Hungary.
