Max Spitzer: Pomodoro Variations
On view September 4 – October 31, 2026
Pomodoro Variations is an exhibition of sculptures which also function as a 5.1 channel sound system. Taking the pomodoro technique interval as its focusing framework, here materials and sounds are arranged to oscillate back and from signal to noise or from figure to ground, creating a space where viewers can reflect on the ways in which our contemporary tendency to micromanage our sensory environments affects our attentions and affinities.
