Dickinson’s recent work with architectural models negative spaces engages issues of scale, representation, and materiality to explore how flat images and objects relate.
John Dickinson is Assistant Professor of Sculpture at Wright State University, Dayton, OH. He earned a BFA at Colorado State University (2008) and an MFA at Meadows School of the Arts, Southern Methodist University, TX (2010) and received a 2010 Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award from the International Sculpture Center. He has held residencies at Juvenal Reis Studio Residency, New York, New York, and Les-Subsistances International Arts Festival, Lyon, France.
