The Sculpture Center congratulates the four artists selected for the CSN (Cleveland Sculptors Network) Master Reviews & Collective Discussion, which will be led by out-of-region visiting curator, Taylor Aldridge: Luke Achterberg (Lexington, KY), Doug Cannell (Detroit, MI), Deanna Dionne (Cleveland, OH), and Grace Summanen (Euclid, OH).
The selected artists will meet with Aldridge and their peers in a private group crticial feedback discussion of their work presented digitally on the morning of Sunday, July 15, 2018 at The Sculpture Center. The Master Reviews are a special career development event intended to foster ongoing personal ties of the sculptors with the visiting artist or curator and among the regional sculptors for the future. The selected artists seized the opportunity to participate by responding to an open call for sculptors from the region posted by The Sculpture Center. This event is privately held and not open to the public. Visiting sculptors and curators to date have been Nathalie Miebach (November 2016), Luca Buvoli (April 2017), Steve Locke (June 2017), Christina Linden (November 2017) and Ward Shelley (April 2018).
The Master Reviews & Collective Discussion is preceded by the sixth panel of the CSN/Getting There from Here, Negotiating the Art World, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Goldhorn Brewery (1361 East 55th Street, Cleveland).
